Camp Terminis

I woke up to snoring.  I looked at Jennie.  She looked very surprised and was staring at me.

"What?" I asked.

"I think you made the reskeep fall asleep" she said

"The what?"

"The monster down there is called a reskeep"

"And I put it to sleep?"

"It looked like it"

"But I fainted"

"I looked like you closed your eyes and pointed at it" 

She stared at me for a minute then climbed down.  I followed her for a little while in silence.  I thought we were going in circles when I noticed a face in a tree right in front of us.  It looked a little like the funny ancient language teacher.  Furry eyebrows and handlebar mustache.  Then suddenly a voice in my brain said NAME?.

"Huh?" I said.

"Just think your name" Jennie said.

"O.K.?"

Joel. I thought.  FULL NAME! The voice blasted through my head. Joel Ramsey! I thought quickly.  Go through. the voice said calmly and the tree split into a giant door.

"Welcome to Camp Terminis.  The camp for new minor gods," Jennie said and she opened the door.

I Become Captain Useless

We started walking through the forest for what felt like for ever when, finally, when I felt like I would drop we arrived.  At first I thought it was just a rest when Jennie suddenly just climbs up the tree.

"Somethings coming," she said.  I followed her.  If she could scare a Czert off and she was scared I would be scared.  Then a monster walked out it looked little like the Czert, but on fire.  I was so scared I fainted.

 A Meeting With a Long Lost Relative

Next thing I knew I was against a tree with a girl pointing a knife at my neck.  I turned to run into the forest and ran smack-dab into a tree then fell onto my back.  Smooth move, Joel.  I thought then looked up at the girl.

"What's your name?" she asked.
"Joel Ramsey." I said "What's your's?"
"I'm your cousin, Jennie"
"What!  That's not possible she disappeared..."
"Three years ago" she interrupted

My jaw dropped.  How did she know.  But she did look familiar.

"Where did you go?"
"Follow me.  I'll show you."
"Actually, can you tell me what happened to that monster first?"
"Oh, right the Czert is gone"
"Czert?"
"Tell you later.  Follow me if you want to live"

I gulped and followed.

 Monster!

I hope that Ray won't tie me to the tether ball again I thought as I crossed the field.  He would tie kids to the tether ball then play and just leave them there.  I finally got to the poll and Ray took a kid into the woods then came back without him.  I nervously walked up to the poll and cleared my throat.  Next thing I knew he had me on the ground on my back.  He took me to the woods.  I looked for the kid that went before me but I couldn't find him.

We finally reached a clearing and Ray trew me across it.  Amazing because it was probably a mile across and completely round.  I immediately jumped into a fighting position.  But he was still across the clearing with a lion like smirk on his face.  Then he slowly changed.  His whole body now matched his smile.  Except it had a snake for a tail.  He had a golden coat that shined in the sun.  The snakes scales were a gleaming poisonousness green.  Then he slowly came towards me.  I tried to fake him out but nearly got burnt.  There goes my normal life I thought.  How was I suppose to get out of this?  How could I survive?  Then he blew out of his nostrils and I blacked out.

 Weird

Hey, there.  I'm Joel Ramsey.  I have great things planed for the summer.  It is the last few days at the Jonson "Betty Ford" Daniels Middle School and I am determined not to mess up.  Every school I went to I got kicked out of.  Expelled from nine schools.  I even got expelled from preschool!  I didn't mean to make the toilets explode.  Then, in kindergarten I set my teachers pants on fire.  Then, my first grade year I got mad at a kid who teased me because I was transfered in the middle of the year.  I had launched a kid's lunch in the air.  Somehow he ended up on a chandelier and I was blamed for it.  Then,...yeah, you get the idea.

This was the first school I had been at almost all year.  I had two days left!  I took the bus to school as usual.  For those who don't know Jonson Daniels Middle is a two story school.  Surprisingly big for a small town like Greenville.  I was in eighth grade so they put us at the top story.  I tried to avoid the school bully.  Ray "Monster" Daniels.  His grandfather was supposedly the Jonson Daniels that founded the school.  Because of this he acted like he owned the place.  I was at the last set of steps when my luck let out.  He stepped right in front of me and I accidentally ran into him.  With a snarl he said "Meet me after school.  Tether ball poll.  Be there Ramsey."

Then he stomped off.  He was acting real weird.  The rest of the day was completely normal.
